Lukashenko urges new hotels to use more Belarusian products

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – The new hotels should use as many Belarus-made products as possible, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at the Renaissance Minsk Hotel inauguration ceremony on 14 April, BelTA has learnt.

The head of state was shown the hotel and accommodation facilities. During the IIHF world championship in Minsk the hotel will accommodate delegations of six participating states: the hockey teams of Canada, Norway, Slovakia, Denmark, Czechia and Sweden.

Renaissance Minsk HotelThe President was informed that the new 4-star hotel offers over 260 comfortable rooms, from standard singles to presidential suites) and can accommodate 390 guests. All the rooms are designed for non-smokers. Businessmen staying at the hotel will certainly appreciate the hotel’s super-modern conference halls equipped with the latest audio- and video- devices and equipment for simultaneous interpretation. These conference halls will be able to host forums, seminars and exhibitions.

All the rooms have high-speed Internet and interactive television. There are also rooms for people with special needs.

Renaissance Minsk HotelGuests will be offered a broad range of additional services, including an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and saunas, a gym, a fitness center, SPA, travel services, mini-bars and a restaurant.

Renaissance Minsk HotelSpeaking about the quality of products, Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarusian products “may not be wrapped as beautifully as in the West, but they have a superb quality, something that Europe can learn from us”.

Renaissance Minsk HotelThe investment project to build the hotel was implemented by Mospromstroy-Otel. The hotel will be operated under the Marriot International brand by ZAO MPS-Otel.
