Lukashenko: President should be the chief human rights inspector

MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – The president should be the chief human rights inspector, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the swearing-in ceremony for judge of the Constitutional Court of Belarus Viktor Ryabtsev on 2 February, BelTA has learned.

“I want you to a reliable guarantor of the observation of the Fundamental Law of our country,” the President said.

Lukashenko: President should be the chief human rights inspector“Although we do not have such a position, I always say that the human rights – the right to decent life, labor, education, healthcare, the acquisition of information, freedom of mass media, freedom of speech - will be observed only in case the president is the chief human rights inspector,” Alexander Lukashenko stated.
