Lukashenko: Belarusian Peace Fund will continue to promote diplomacy

MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian Peace Fund will continue to promote diplomacy, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in a message of greetings to the participants of the meeting dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Belarusian Peace Fund, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The President congratulated the participants of the event on the anniversary. Throughout these years, the Belarusian Peace Fund has gained well-deserved authority both in the country and abroad by promoting constructive dialogue between nations on the basis of humanity and commitment to mutual understanding, the message of greetings reads.

“Nowadays the Belarusian Peace Fund cherishes and enhances the traditions of previous years uniting more than 12,000 people. The organization can effectively protect the interests of peace in the difficult modern situation, assist the state in the resolution of social and economic issues,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.

The head of state emphasized that peace in the homes of citizens is the main priority for Belarus. The President expressed confidence that the Belarusian Peace Fund will work for the benefit of the Fatherland, promote peace-making initiatives, and continue to promote diplomacy for the wellbeing and tranquility on the planet.

Alexander Lukashenko wished the participants of the Belarusian Peace Fund health, new achievements, and happiness.
