Lukashenko: Belarus, Russia should agree on mutual recognition of visas

MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia should agree on the mutual recognition of visas, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the extended session of the NOC Executive Committee to discuss the 2019 European Games on 7 September, BelTA has learned.

“We already have experience in the liberalization of visa regulations. This is the 2014 IIHF World Championship. Therefore, let’s step up efforts in this field. We should agree with Russians on the mutual recognition of visas and other related issues,” the head of state instructed.

He also mentioned a big role that the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs should play in the organization and preparations for the Games. “It is needed to solve all issues with visas, border crossing, invitations. We will provide assistance. We have a big army of diplomats,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
