MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the final stage of the youth and junior ice hockey tournament Golden Puck for the prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Our country hosts this wonderful children’s sports festival for the 20^th time. The mastery of its participants is increasing, and the competition at ice arenas becomes more spectacular every year,” the message of greetings reads.

The President believes that ice hockey tournaments are always bright and unforgettable events. The best teams reached the final stage of the nationwide tournament after demonstrating their strength and the will to win.

The head of state noted that Belarus draws much attention to the development of children’s sport, and the health of the nation is one of the main priorities of the national social policy.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that such events as the Golden Puck tournament will become even more popular events and will make a big contribution to the development of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
