Kochanova sees working for people and country as her priority

MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) – Natalia Kochanova recently appointed as Head of the Belarus President Administration told reporters that working for the benefit of the people and the country is her main principle, BelTA has learned.

“The principle of my work is in sync with the position of the head of state: to work for the people, for our country in order to achieve the goals we set. One does not need to be an ‘iron lady’ for this. It is enough to be a regular person able to achieve the set objectives,” Natalia Kochanova noted.

She pointed out that one of the key tasks set forth by the Belarusian leader is to reform the Administration, its structure to make it most effective in the present-day environment.

Public appeals are an important matter. They should be given due attention. It is not right when people submit a complaint to the Administration, and this complaint is referred for consideration to the authority that the compliant is filed against. All public appeals and complaints submitted to the Administration need to be thoroughly investigated. There are certain deficiencies in the work of local authorities, that should be promptly addressed in the regions, in certain ministries and government agencies,” Natalia Kochanova said.

The Head of the Belarus President Administration also drew attention to staffing issues that directly affect the work of different industries in general and separate enterprises in particular. “The slogan that everything depends on the personnel remains relevant. Today we see that in the same economic conditions, some companies perform well while other operate in the red. Everything depends on the staff,” Natalia Kochanova stressed.

She added that the President also set a task to reduce the red tape. “The Belarus President Administration should see the real situation at the grassroots level. We do not need complicated procedures. Kind attitude to people, honest and responsible work – these are the principles that have been the cornerstone of the work of the Administration,” Natalia Kochanova remarked.
