MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Georgia are expected to secure huge progress in advancing their relations across the board. Georgia Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili made the statement as he met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 22 March, BelTA has learned.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili remarked that all contacts between the two countries were invigorated after the official visit of the Belarus president to Georgia in April 2015. “The governments are working very hard. Concrete projects are being implemented. I think the potential is much higher,” said the Prime Minister. Giorgi Kvirikashvili said he was confident that Belarus-Georgia trade can easily go up to $200 million. Huge opportunities for cooperation in the sphere of investments are opening up as well.

Belarus and Georgia are stepping up interaction in cultural and humanitarian affairs, too. “Huge progress is about to be secured across the board,” stated Giorgi Kvirikashvili. The positive trends became possible thanks to the visit of the Belarusian leader, stressed the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Belarusian and Georgian partners should advance cooperation as vigorously and should promote concrete projects. “We all aim for concrete results,” said Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
