Harstedt: OSCE/ODIHR seeks to work with Belarus in a spirit of cooperation

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – The OSCE/ODIHR seeks to work with Belarus in a spirit of cooperation, Vice President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, OSCE Special Coordinator for the parliamentary elections in Belarus and Head of the Swedish parliamentary delegation in the OSCE PA Kent Harstedt said in a meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 20 December.

He thanked the head of state for the opportunity to meet and discuss the existing problems at the highest level. It is a very important signal. We have got a chance to discuss everything in detail, Kent Harstedt said. He added that “we all aim to work for a strong prosperous Belarus.”

The OSCE does it best to be a constructive partner for Belarus. Kent Harstedt expressed opinion that the OSCE/ODIHR is working with Belarus in a cooperative manner.
