FM: Belarus, UK expanding mutually beneficial cooperation

MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and the UK continues to expand, Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said as he met with outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Fionna Gibb on 20 August, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian minister emphasized Fionna Gibb’s considerable contribution to the development of Belarus-UK relations. Vladimir Makei also stressed the expansion of cooperation between Belarus and the UK in the political, trade, economic and other sectors, and the exchange of high-level visits.

The parties also talked over the state and prospects of bilateral contacts, including plans for future joint events.
