MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) - Belarus can play a stabilizing role in integration processes in the Eurasian space, economic expert, head of the Aksios educational center of Giprosvyaz Yuliya Abukhovich said in a new episode of BelTA’s YouTube project V Teme [On Point].

“If we consider the political aspect of the EAEU events in Minsk, their organization will let Belarus demonstrate its role as a stabilizing factor in the integration processes. This can be especially noticeable against the background of somehow worsened relations between individual EAEU members and new external challenges,” Yuliya Abukhovich said.

According to the expert, a large-scale international forum featuring heads of state and government speaks about the internal stability of Belarus and the ability of the state to solve complex organizational tasks. “We see that Belarus gets the opportunity to determine the agenda of the forum, initiate discussion of priority issues for the country and moderate key issues about the future of Eurasian integration,” she said.

The Eurasian Economic Forum will be held in Minsk on 26-27 June. The event is expected to bring together more than 2,700 participants from 33 countries. The forum will be held alongside with the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. Its theme is Strategy of Eurasian Economic Integration: Outcomes and Prospects”.
