European cardinal impressed by close cooperation between confessions in Belarus
MINSK, 28 September (BelTA) – Belarus has a high level of interaction between the confessions, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, Head of the Bishop’s Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Member of the Council of European Bishops' Conferences (CCEE), told journalists after the talks with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.
"I am impressed by the efforts Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, the government and the heads of the church make to ensure the peaceful coexistence of all the confessions in Belarus," Vinko Puljic said.
According to him, all religions "are intended to serve the needs of people and their aspirations to peace."
The participants of the CCEE plenary assembly discussed different matters during the meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 28 September, including the European development and Belarus.
