Dvornik: Rogachev will make a good host of Belarusian Written Language Day 2016

GOMEL, 7 October (BelTA) – Rogachev will make a good host of the Belarusian Written Language Day in 2016, Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Dvornik said as he met with representatives of the labor collectives of the city and the district, BelTA learned from the press service of the regional authorities.

The head of the region noted that this important cultural event will require adequate preparation, including the improvement of the town. "Proceeding on the budget we invest in the measure to improve and beautify two or three district centers a year. This has been our principle lately. Next year Rogachev will be one of these district centers. I am confident that the town will look beautiful by the time it gets to host this nationwide event," he said.

The Governor also spoke about the socio-economic situation in the region, the large investment projects being implemented in the region, the priorities in the work of the executive authorities of which the most important are the economy and the social sector.

There were other questions. For example, the Governor was asked about the compulsory first-time job placement for young professionals. Vladimir Dvornik emphasized that in Gomel Oblast there is a sufficient number of vacancies for employment, therefore, young professionals will not be out of work. "However, there is one pattern: the graduates of the Minsk universities seldom come back to stay here. Therefore we need to make an emphasis on the young people who, having received higher education, will come back and will work for the benefit of their hometown,” he said.
