Chinese plant of ultra condensers to be commissioned at Great Stone in 2017

CHENGDU, 5 September (BelTA) – The Chinese plant of ultra condensers for electric transport will be commissioned at the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone in late 2017, general manager of the China’s Chengdu Xinzhu Silk Road Development Zhong Cheng told the media, BelTA has learned.

The Chinese company launched the construction of the plant last spring. A land plot of 1.1ha allocated in the park will fit about 20,000 square meters of the manufacturing area. Apart from the production area, the Chengdu Xinzhu Silk Road Development will have its research laboratories in the park.

The representative of the company shared information on the advantages of Chinese ultra condensers. Six minutes is enough to charge it for a 20km trip. These condensers are designed to operate in different weather conditions (from 40 degrees below zero to 55 degrees above zero). The use of such transport also looks economically sound taking into account the Belarusian nuclear power plant which is currently under construction.

The company will focus on the Belarusian market at first. In the future it plans to sell ultra condensers to Europe and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). According to Zhong Cheng, an electric bus is a transport of the future taking into account its environmental friendliness. He named Belarus an important partner in economic cooperation with China.

Vice general manager of the company responsible for cooperation with Belarus Shi Guang said that the company had already launched test works. China attaches great importance to the project and considers it very promising.

Belkommunmash that produces electric buses, trolleybuses and trams will be the main customer of ultra condensers. Belarusian electric buses will be certified for foreign markets.

The China’s Chengdu Xinzhu Silk Road Development is headquartered in the city of Chengdu, the administrative center of Sichuan Province. The city is a big economic, trade, finance, science and technology center and also a major transport and communications hub. Chengdu is a driving force behind the Western Development Strategy and a paragon of investment climate in China. It is also an important center of new urbanization. The city produces various goods, machinery, equipment, food products, pharmaceutical drugs and IT. The city is one of the country’s major centers of mechanical engineering and producers of car parts. The city produces several hundred thousands cars a year and plans to reach the output of 1.25 million by 2020. Chengdu is home to car makers such as Volvo, FAW Volkswagen, FAW Toyota and Sinotruk Wangpai.
