Brusnikov: Exhibition in Belarusian History Museum hailed as fine example of international cooperation

MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – The exhibition Radziwills. The Great Epoch of the Dukes represents not only a tangible contribution to the preservation and popularization of history and culture of Belarus and Lithuania but a fine example of fruitful international cooperation. The opinion was voiced by Gennady Brusnikov, Deputy Director of the Belarusian company IOOO Japan Tobacco International (JTI), BelTA has learned. The company is a partner of the exhibition.

The JTI Company representative said: “In our company the programs that lie outside the core business and are meant to support culture and preserve historical legacy are viewed as investments in the society, in which we live and work. I am glad that in the year 2016, which has been declared the Year of Culture in Belarus, another joint step made by JTI and the National History Museum became this project, to which implementation we are pleased to contribute as an international company.”

The exhibition Radziwills. The Great Epoch of the Dukes in MinskPartnership between the National History Museum of Belarus and JTI Company began in 2010. Since then JTI has helped implement over 40 important projects in the museum, including exhibitions highlighting Belarus’ history, the country’s neighbors, the 1812 war in the history of Minsk. Cooperation involves such areas as exhibitions, information and publishing, restoration efforts, culture and education, charity actions, the acquisition of museum exhibitions, and the enhancement of the museum’s physical infrastructure.
