Belarusian pavilion at EXPO 2017 in Kazakhstan expected to draw crowds

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian pavilion at EXPO 2017 in Kazakhstan will be a major draw for the visitors, Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairperson of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, said during a lecture for students of the lyceum of Belarusian State University on 16 March, BelTA has learned.

“We know that your country pays great attention to the development of alternative and renewable energy. Therefore, I believe that your pavilion will be one of the most interesting and popular ones,” Nurlan Nigmatulin said.

The energy of the future will be the main theme of EXPO 2017 that will open on 10 June. The construction works have already been finished. The participating countries have already started working on their pavilions. A total of 115 countries and 18 international organizations have confirmed their participation. “Belarus was one of the first countries to confirm its participation in EXPO 2017. We appreciate this,” Nurlan Nigmatulin said.

The Kazakhstani side noted that they will do their best to ensure that this year’s expo becomes the most successful one in its history.
