Belarus seeks to establish long-lasting economic ties with big Japanese companies

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Belarus is eager to develop bilateral dialogue and establish long-lasting economic ties with big Japanese companies and corporations. The matter was discussed on 14 June during a meeting between Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov and Hiroki Tokunaga, Charge d’Affaires at the Japanese Embassy in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Valentin Rybakov noted that the Belarusian side would also like to conduct large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects in cooperation with Japanese partners.

The Belarusian diplomat stressed that mutual trust and understanding provide a solid foundation for the development of Belarusian-Japanese cooperation in all fields. He pointed out that this year, the bilateral relations have gained positive momentum.

“Valentin Rybakov noted that it is time to be more active in tapping into the potential for economic cooperation. Belarus and Japan have great prospects for cooperation in technology, production, science and other areas,” the press service said.

The Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that joint Belarusian-Japanese efforts will strengthen bilateral relations in all areas.
