Belarus ready to become regional center for promoting China’s initiatives

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to become a regional center for promoting China’s initiatives. Head of the Belarus President Administration Natalya Kochanova made the statement as she met with Zhao Leji, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, on 20 September, BelTA has learned.

Natalya Kochanova said: “Belarus should become a center for promoting all the initiatives of China. In essence Belarus should become a regional representative office of Beijing in Western Eurasia so that China could promote its interests in neighboring countries from Belarus.”

The head of the Belarus President Administration believes that there is no more sincere partner than Belarus in China’s modern history. The two countries have no topics to avoid or contradictions. “We build self-sufficient, independent relations with the People’s Republic of China regardless of the opinion of other countries, including large ones,” she stressed. “Our bilateral relations go beyond economy. The relations are all about mutual understanding, interpersonal and professional relations.”
