Belarus President sends greetings to personnel of Brest Hero Fortress memorial

MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the personnel of the memorial complex Brest Hero Fortress on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of this organization and the 60th anniversary of the Brest Fortress Defense Museum, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The feat of the Brest Fortress defenders will be always remembered as an example of bravery of Soviet people, their love for the Homeland, and heroic resistance against the invaders. The soldiers of the Brest garrison became a symbol of genuine heroism, tenacity, and courage,” the head of state noted. “Having faced the first blow of the enemy, they proved that our people will never surrender to the Nazis.”

Alexander Lukashenko mentioned the fact that the personnel of one of the largest museums in Belarus tell people from different counties and of different ages about the dramatic events of the Great Patriotic War, are doing their best to promote the patriotic education of young people, shape their outlook and moral values.
