Belarus guarantees most favorable conditions for Chinese companies

MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – Belarus guarantees the most favorable business conditions for Chinese companies, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with the delegation of the People’s Government of Hunan Province (China) led by Changsha Mayor Hu Henghua and Zoomlion President Zhan Chunxin on 29 August, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko cited the manufacture of pilot samples of construction and municipal equipment of the Chinese company Zoomlion using MAZ chassis as an example of productive cooperation. Joint projects involving Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) and Gomselmash to expand the lineup of products for the European and Asian markets, including China, have been launched.

“Mogilev Oblast has a huge industrial potential which can be utilized with the participation of the leading enterprises of Hunan Province. It will help expand your presence in the countries of the Eurasian Union and Europe. Besides, we guarantee the most favorable business conditions for Chinese companies,” the head of state noted.

“I know that you have proposals to expand bilateral cooperation. I am ready to listen to them and made decisions if necessary. Let’s discuss them,” the President said.

Hu Henghua, in turn, stressed that Belarus and China should enhance regional cooperation, and Zoomlion helps a lot. “We will stay in Belarus for two days, will visit a number of plants in Minsk and Mogilev,” he said.

On the whole, the Chinese side praised good prospects for the development of cooperation and expressed readiness to invest in Belarus. MAZ, MTZ, Gomselmash, Strommashina are among the priority partners. The sides also consider the possibility to set up a joint engineering center.
