MALMO, 15 May (BelTA) – Alyona Lanskaya has assured the European public that Belarus has all it takes to be a great host of the next Eurovision show if the country wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. She made this statement at the press conference of the winners of the first semi-final, BelTA has learnt.

Alyona Lanskaya did not hesitate to answer a rather provocative question of reporters who asked whether or not Belarus will become more open and democratic thanks to getting into the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. “I love my country. My country has all it takes to hold the Eurovision 2014,” Alyona Lanskaya said.

The Belarusian contestant will perform in the first half of the final show to be held on 18 May.
