TV channel Discovery eager to make series of programs about Belarus

MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – The TV channel Discovery intends to create a series of programs about Belarus, BelTA learned from Belarusian Information Minister Lilia Ananich during a national seminar held on 7 May to discuss television content production and distribution in Belarus.

The official said that recent talks resulted in an agreement with the prominent TV channel on creating a series of TV shows about the national natural legacy, in particular, the national park Belovezhskaya Pushcha. According to Lilia Ananich, it is a good approach when a foreign TV channel advertises Belarus across the entire world in addition to bringing quality content.

The Information Minister said she would like other distributors, who bring new foreign TV programs to the Belarusian information market, to promote the country in the global media space. Such moves are followed by investments and an increase in trust. As part of the open information space Belarus should use information advantages, concluded the Belarusian Information Minister.
