The Brest-born hairdresser has been in the industry for 2.5 years constantly honing her skills through hairdressing courses and master classes.

The 45th WorldSkills Championships in Kazan was the most successful for Team Belarus. In January 2014 Belarus officially jointed WorldSkills International. This year Team Belarus competed in 30 skills.

“Belarus has improved its standing in the country ranking being placed 15th. The progress is due to our experts. Every year participants need to accomplish increasingly difficult tasks at an increasingly shorter time. However, our specialists are growing professionally. The motivation of participants is just as important. This year not everyone managed to perform at their best, as a psychological factor impacted their performance,” Rector of the National Institute of Vocational Education Valery Golubovsky said.

China topped the ranking. It was followed by Russia and South Korea.

Winners and runners-up were awarded at a solemn closing ceremony at Kazan Arena. The flag of the WorldSkills Championships was handed over to representatives of China that is already gearing up for WorldSkills Shangai 2021.

Taking part in the award ceremony was Russian President Vladimir Putin. He passed the torch of the championships to the Chinese side.

The 45th edition of WorldSkills International took place in Kazan, Russia on 22-27 August. The program featured competitions in 56 skills.
