MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – The Days of Minsk in Tbilisi will feature the Belarusian-Georgian Business Forum and an exhibition of Minsk-made goods, Minsk Vice Mayor Alexander Krepak told the media, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian capital will showcase its economic, industrial and investment capabilities and tourism potential. It will also tell about the Smart City system, Minsk Guest Card, design and construction of metro, innovations in passenger transport, new technologies in the food industry.

The exhibition will feature the products made by the Kommunarka and Slodych confectioneries, Minsk Kristall distillery, Minskhlebprom bakery, the cosmetics producers Belita, Vitex and Modum-Our Cosmetics and also MAZ, Amkodor and MTZ vehicle manufacturers. Belkommunmash will display its new trolleybuses and Minsk City Technopark will show the opportunities for cooperation and support to aspiring entrepreneurs.

“We have something to offer to each other and something to learn. The Days of Minsk in Tbilisi will boost the cooperation in various areas,” Alexander Krepak noted.

The trade between Minsk and Georgia rose by 13.5% in 2017 to total $18.8 million. Exports reached $7.9 million, imports $10.9 million. Minsk is home to 14 enterprises with the Georgian capital.

The Days of Minsk will be held in Tbilisi on 21-23 March. The program features business, cultural and sporting events. In particular, the parties will sign a trade and economic cooperation program for 2018-2020. Cooperation agreements will be signed by the Minsk City Technopark and Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency, the Minsk information tourism center and and the Georgian company LLC Resistorgeo.

The official opening of the Minsk Days and a gala-concert will take place at the Rustaveli National Theater in Tbilisi. The photo exhibition "A Portrait of Minsk" will also be part of the program.

The Minsk delegation will visit the Special and Emergency Measures Center of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the House of Justice, the Innovation and Technology Agency Georgia.

Minsk twinned with Tbilisi in September 2015. The parties agreed to promote investment and innovation activities, to boost cooperation in healthcare and education, sports and culture, exchange the best local government practices. Two weeks later Minsk played host to the first festival of Georgian culture Tbilisoba.
