Regional breakdown of COVID-19 cases published in Belarus

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) - The Healthcare Ministry has published the information on the number of COVID-19 cases by region, Belarus Deputy Healthcare Minister Yelena Bogdan said during a live stream on the YouTube channel of the National Press Center,  BelTA has learned.

As of 8 a.m., there were 3,281 coronavirus cases in the country: 73 cases in Brest Oblast, 848 in Vitebsk Oblast, 106 in Gomel Oblast, 53 in Grodno Oblast, 1691 in the city of Minsk, 359 in Minsk Oblast and 151 in Mogilev Oblast.

Despite the fact that some regions, including Brest Oblast and Grodno Oblast have fewer cases, people should not ignore the measures recommended by the Healthcare Ministry. “First of all, these include keeping physical distance, hand washing and self-isolation,” Yelena Bogdan said.

As of 14 April, 71,875 tests for coronavirus infection were performed in Belarus. Seventeen laboratories are involved in testing.
