Paratrooper brigade in Vitebsk salutes healthcare workers fighting coronavirus

VITEBSK, 6 April (BelTA) – The 103rd Vitebsk Independent Guards Airborne Brigade paid tribute to Belarusian doctors and nurses on 6 April as they lined up with posters saying “Thank you” in hands and shouted “Thank you”, BelTA has learned.

Deputy head of the brigade Lieutenant Colonel Denis Kriventsov said that this event was meant to show the gratitude for doctors and nurses on behalf of the Armed Forces of Belarus. “We are monitoring the news about the situation in the country. We are happy that the Belarusian society has come together to tackle this problem. Everyone tries to help in a way they can, and we decided to demonstrate solidarity with medical staff and thank them for their hard work,” Denis Kriventsov said.

According to him, the 103rd Vitebsk Independent Guards Airborne Brigade is taking all the necessary precautions to avoid infections, the personnel have their temperature taken twice a day.

Businesses and public associations all over the country have offered support for healthcare workers. Enterprises provide personal protective equipment and catering facilities deliver free lunches.
