Tatiana Orlova said that the file is almost ready. Belarusian specialists from Polotsk have been working on it in cooperation with experts from Russia’s State Hermitage Museum. They have established that the Transfiguration Church in Polotsk was built in 1127-1135, rather than in 1161.

The Transfiguration Church in PolotskTatiana Orlova noted that the maps for the file will be ready soon. After that, specialists will be working to translate the nomination file and hold talks with the convent. If the site gets included in the UNESCO's World Heritage List, more tourists will be coming to visit it. The convent is a closed community, and certain rules for visiting it will need to be established.
