MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – Winner of the first national beauty contest Miss Belarus 1998 Svetlana Kruk will represent Belarus at Mrs. Universe 2013 that will be held in Aruba on 4-12 August, BelTA has learnt.

The preparations for the contest are in full swing. The attire for the beauty pageant is being made by famous Belarusian designer Yulia Latushkina.

Svetlana Kruk has been married for 12 years and is a mother of two sons. She works in the fashion industry and in the field of education. Svetlana has a wealth of experience in taking part in beauty pageants. She was the finalist of Miss Europe 1999, participated in Miss World 2000, and won the Missis Beauty Millennium International 2012 title.

The beauty contest Mrs. Universe is similar to Miss World and Miss Universe. Eligible participants should be married and could have children. Last year Natalia Trofimova of Belarus received the Friendship Award in Mrs. Universe 2012 and became the national director of the Mrs. Universe Belarus contest. She got the right to hold the Mrs. Europe 2012 pageant in Minsk.
