Minsk to host Moscow Days in June

MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Moscow Days will take place in Minsk as part of the 3rd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia which is due on 7-8 June, Chairman of the permanent commission on education, science, culture and social development of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Nikolai Kazarovets told media on 13 April, BelTA has learned.

“The forum will comprise 14 dedicated events. Among them will be the Belagro expo, Moscow Days in Minsk (7-10 June), the media festival, and a video conference between educational establishments of Minsk and Moscow,” said Nikolai Kazarovets. The program will include eight lectures, with one of them scheduled in Nesvizh and the rest due in Minsk.

It is expected that attending the forum will be 250-300 representatives of Russia and the same number will represent Belarus. Tens of Russian regions will be represented by governors who are set to visit Belarusian regions.

Today Minsk is hosting a meeting of the joint organizing committee of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. Partaking in the meeting are representatives of both Belarus and Russia (vice-speakers of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly).

The main part of the forum, its plenary session is expected on 8 June. It will be preceded by pre-planned sections, various exhibitions and fairs. The participants of the forum are set to sign contracts and agreements. Over 10 documents are currently prepared for signing.
