Minsk to host K-POP festival

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – The K-РОР World Festival 2018 Belarus Preliminary Competition will take place in the MAZ Community Center in Minsk on 24 June, BelTA learned from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Belarus.

A wave of Korean popular music (Korean pop) has swept the world and it is not an exaggeration. Thousands of teenagers and young people listen, sing and dance to the songs of BTS, PSY, EXO, Twice, BlackPink, Big Bang and other pop idols. Some even try to emulate them. Belarus is also following this popular trend and has cover bands and singers who perform in the K-POP style, the organizers said.

The best K-POP cover bands and individual performers from all over Belarus will gather in Minsk for the competition for the fourth time. The audience will be treated to an amazing show with dancing, singing and lotteries.

The K-РОР World Festival 2018 Belarus Preliminary Competition is a national selection for the Changwon K-POP World Festival that is held every year in the city of Changwon, South Korea. The festival brings together the best K-POP cover bands and individual performers from all over the world. They will be able to perform with the most popular K-POP artists on the same stage.
