Minsk to host Italy-Belarus Friendship Festival on 9 September

MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – The third edition of the Italy-Belarus Friendship Festival will take place in the Upper Town of Minsk on 9 September, BelTA learned from the Italian Embassy in Belarus.

The festival is organized by the Italian diplomatic mission in cooperation with ENIT (Italian National Tourist Board) and the Minsk City Council. Visitors will be offered a diverse program, including numerous entertainment activities for adults and children, good music, and national cuisine.

Italian and Belarusian artists will perform on the main stage of the Upper Town from 11.30 to 22.00. Headliners are rising star Raffaele Papadia and famous Italian pianist and performer Matthew Lee.

The program also includes a sand art performance by Olga Radetskaya, a puppet theater show by Carro dei Comici, a presentation of famous Italian brands and a joint show by hairdresser and stylist Antonio Boccadamo and the Image Pro school, as well as performances by the Gloria dance company and the Belarusian Choreography School.

Performances will be held all over the Upper Town, not only on the main stage. They will include a street theater show and a pizza show. The Inter football school will arrange a playground. The Italo movie directed by Alessia Scarso and starring Marco Bocci will be screened in the yard of the Monastyrsky Hotel.

The food court will feature Italian restaurants and food producers. Visitors will be invited to try authentic foods from various Italian regions and to taste pizza, ice cream and the wonderful Italian coffee.

There will be a photo exhibition arranged by the Italian National Tourist Board, booths by Italian language schools and the Dante Center for Italian Language and Culture.
