Minsk Pass cards in Minsk National Airport starting April

MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – An outlet to sell Minsk Pass cards will be installed in the Minsk National Airport by the end of April, BelTA learned from Director of the enterprise Mingorspravka Boris Vasilyev.

For now these cards are available in Mingorspravka information spots near the central railway station and in the Upper City (the tourism information center Minsk at 13 Revolyutsionnaya Street) and can also be bought online. “Negotiations are nearly over and in April, when the tourist season starts, the cards will be made available in Minsk National Airport,” stated the source.

The variety of Minsk Pass cards, which does not include public transport service, allows to sell them everywhere from retail chains to hotel ones. “We've invited a hotel chain to start selling our cards. And lots of companies approach us with proposals to start selling these cards. Our aim is to organize sales points in as many places as possible so that everyone could buy them without any difficulties,” added the source. Besides, the enterprise is working together with the Minsk city mass transit system operator Minsktrans to create a new type of the cards. These new Minsk Pass cards will include public transport service and will not require any special equipment at retail outlets.

BelTA reported earlier that Minsk Pass cards became available in retail on 17 January 2018. As many as 37 museums joined the project initially, including 14 ones outside Minsk (the Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Lifestyle, the museum and ethnography complex Zabrodye, castles in Mir and Nesvizh, and other attractions) as well as 16 hotels, six public catering establishments, and eight retail chains. Other establishments, including in the regions, show interest in cooperation. Detailed information about the cost of the cards, available services, and retail outlets is available at www.minskpass.by.
