We would like to introduce them to new names,” Alexander Sidorenko, the director of the festival, told a press conference on 16 March. “For example, we have organized many multi-artist concerts and brought many young artists, budding teams. This year we are doing a concert “I Love Festival!”. The playbill features such names as Stas Piekha, Dmitry Koldun, Nyusha, Yuzari, NAVIBAND and others. Now it includes about ten young artists, but there will be more than 20. Approximately 60% of the concert time will be given to young Belarusian singers and groups, for whom this is a chance to be noticed. Besides, we invited many bands that can represent the culture of their country. You will see most of them during the grand opening concert,” Alexander Sidorenko said.

He also mentioned foreign performers such as the UK band LONDONBEAT, Julio Iglesias Jr. (Spain), Kevin McCoy (United States), and others. The tradition of inviting winners of international song competitions will be continued. For instance, Filip Zhmakher of Serbia will make his appearance in a number of shows. Dimash Kudaibergen, the holder of the 2015 Grand Prix, is expected to perform at the closing ceremony. He is now very popular in his country, Kazakhstan. He is also taking part in China’s TV project I’m a Singer.

The festival program traditionally features the opening ceremony (13 July), the closing ceremony (17 July), the shows Golden Hit and Chanson TV – All Stars. The festival in Vitebsk will also include a comedy show Once in Russia. This year, the concert Union State Invites will be devoted to the anniversary of the Syabry band.

Besides, the Summer Amphitheater will host a show by the Pavlo Virsky Ukrainian National Folk Dance Ensemble and popular Ukrainian singers, and the anniversary concert Alexander Zatsepin. There Is Only A Moment… to the accompaniment of the National Academic Concert Orchestra of Belarus conducted by Mikhail Finberg. It will also be the venue of the contest of young pop singers. All in all, the Summer Amphitheater will host 17 events. The number of concerts may increase as the program of the festival has not been finalized yet.

The 26th International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk will run from 13 to 17 July (with additional events on 11, 12, 18, and 19 July).
