French pianist, Belarus Chamber Orchestra to perform Belarusian music at Salle Gaveau in Paris

MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – The State Chamber Orchestra of Belarus conducted by Yevgeny Bushkov will accompany French pianist Lucas Debargue in a concert at the world-famous Salle Gaveau in Paris, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society.

Lucas Debargue is welcomed with great enthusiasm in different parts of the world, including in Belarus. The two concerts that he gave at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society during the past season drew full houses.

The Belarusian audience had a chance to get acquainted with the French pianist thanks to Yevgeny Bushkov, the music director and chief conductor of the State Chamber Orchestra of Belarus, who invited him to perform in Minsk. This time, Lucas Debargue invited the Chamber Orchestra of Belarus to participate in his first big concert in Paris. On 8 November, he will perform Piano Concerto no.2 by Ludwig Van Beethoven at the Salle Gaveau accompanied by the Belarusian orchestra. The concert will also feature Serenade for Strings by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Priere by Oleg Yanchenko, the founder of the Chamber Orchestra of Belarus.

“We are happy that the organizers have accepted our idea to include Belarusian music in the concert. We are also very pleased to have been invited to accompany Lucas Debargue,” Yevgeny Bushkov said.
