Foreigners coming to Belarus on five-day visa waiver can stay up to 30 days

MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – Foreigners who came to Belarus on the five-day visa waiver will be able to stay in the country for up to 30 days, Head of the Department of Citizenship and Migration at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vadim Zaboronok said at the BelTA press center on 25 July, BelTA has learned.

Foreigners who took advantage of the five-day visa-free program to come to Belarus and who will be in the country when the decree on extending the visa-free regime comes into force will be allowed to stay here up to 30 days without having to leave the country. They will face no problems while leaving Belarus through the airport. According to Vadim Zaboronok, this is the most common question asked by foreigners at the moment.

“We have discussed this matter today with our colleagues from the State Border Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is our shared position. There will be no problems during the departure,” Vadim Zaboronok assured.

BelTA reported earlier that Belarus extended visa-free travel for foreign nationals to 30 days. Foreign nationals must fly in and out of National Airport Minsk. A visitor must carry a valid passport or substituting document, assets (equivalent to at least two base amounts for each day of stay, or 50 base amounts for a 30-day stay), and medical insurance in the amount of at least €10,000.
