Bolshoi Theater invites for Evenings in Radziwill Castle on 24-26 June

MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) – Bolshoi Theater Evenings in Radziwill Castle will take place in Nesvizh on 24-26 June, BelTA learnt from the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus.

This big festival will be held for its seventh time. On 24 June the Corpus Christi Church will gather church music amateurs. The theater’s opera company will perform the Belarusian sacred music of the Baroque time. The program will include Simeon of Polotsk’s psalms, works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Handel, Giovanni Pergolesi and others. Concertmaster is Larisa Terekhova.

The inner yard of the Nesvizh Castle will host a choreographic interpretation of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra’s immortal story Don Quixote. Conductor – Belarus’ Honored Figure of Arts Nikolai kolyadko.

On 25 June the concert hall of the castle will feature a concert Heart Wants No Rest. Leading Belarusian opera soloists Vladimir Petrov, Tatyana Tretyak, Natalia Akinina and the string quintet Serenada have prepared a special program for their guests. In the evening visitors will be offered Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s opera Iolanta. Leading parts will be performed by Belarus’ Honored Artist Anastasia Moskvina, prizewinner of the international competition Eduard Martynyuk, prize-holder of international competitions Ilya Silchukov, prizewinner of international competitions Andrei Valentiy, Belarus’ Honored Artist Vladimir Gromov. Conductor is Andrei Galanov.

Stars of the Bolshoi Theater will perform at the Radziwill Castle on 26 June. The concert Tenors vs Basses will feature leading opera soloists of Belarus’ Bolshoi Theater.

The concert Bolshoi’s Stars in Nesvizh featuring leading opera and ballet soloists of Belarus’ Bolshoi Theater will wrap up the three-day music marathon on 26 June. The program will include popular arias from the golden fund of the world opera and also the best ballets. Conductors are Viktor Ploskina and Andrei Galanov.
