MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – The BEL.BIZ Battle startup competition 2018 will take place at the BelExpo exhibition center on 13 November within the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Belarus (GEW Belarus), BelTA learned from the press service of the BEL.BIZ Center of Business Communication.

BEL.BIZ Battle provides an excellent opportunity to put forward ideas at a national level, draw new customers and get access to European business accelerators. We are interested in established startups. It will be an advantage if such startups have already raised investments,” GEW Belarus official representative Anastasia Khomenkova said.

The winning teams will go to London where they will be introduced to international investors.

Corporate Services Manager/Economic Diplomacy Officer at the British Embassy in Minsk Inessa Poltoran noted that the immersion into the startup-ecosystem of London is an adventure that promises a wealth of experience and many new contacts to all the participants. “We are glad to give Belarus’ best startups all opportunities offered by today’s business environment of Great Britain,” she emphasized.

This year five best teams will be selected. The event will be useful for companies working in the real economic sector, infrastructure developers and a new generation of entrepreneurs.

Applications are accepted ill 27 October at https://www.f6s.com/belbizbattle2018/apply.

Partners of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Belarus are the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Development Bank and the Economy Ministry of Belarus, the International Finance Corporation and the British Embassy in Belarus.

The event will be supported by the Government of Belarus. The BelTA News Agency is an information partner.
