MOSCOW, 28 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian defense company Belspetsvneshtechnika won the Best Exhibition award at the 3rd international military technology forum Army 2017 held in Moscow Oblast from 22 to 27 August, BelTA learned from the forum’s press center.

Tactical Missiles Corporation (Russia) was awarded the main prize at the forum. Another Russian corporation Proekt-Technika claimed first place in the Best Dual-Use Product nomination. The contribution of the Voentelecom defense company to the preparations for the expo and its organization was commended, too. Presenting the awards was Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov.

“The scale of the event which was once a newcomer proves that it has turned into one of the world’s leading military expos, with the record-breaking exhibition area and eventful scientific, business, and exhibition programs,” the press center said. “The forum has attracted unprecedented interest from Russian and foreign defense companies, business communities, and foreign delegations. Army 2017 has brought together tens of thousands participants from all Russian regions from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok and gathered guests from over 100 countries,” the press service added.

Partaking in the forum were over 20 Belarusian organizations and companies of different types operated by different bodies and agencies. Belarus brought about 150 military goods to Kubinka, Moscow Oblast. Some of them have gone on display for the first time ever.
