Belarusian defense products on display in Russia on 22-27 August

MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) – The top organizations of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus and the defense sector of the Belarusian economy will take part in the international forum Army 2017, representatives of the Committee told BelTA.

During the forum the Belarusian delegation will include top officials of the enterprises run by the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus and top executives of Belarusian defense contractors. Over 20 Belarusian organizations and companies will take part in the forum. The Belarusian defense contractors will showcase a total of about 150 defense products. Many of them will be demonstrated for the first time.

A large number of cutting-edge products that rely on modern innovative technologies will be presented. The new products include redesigned ADUNOK combat modules, two models of the lightly-armored vehicle MZKT-490100, a multipurpose floating armored vehicle Vitim, a multipurpose armored cargo vehicle Vitim 668240, dummy models of the reconnaissance and combat module based on the lightly-armored vehicle MZKT-490100 and the artillery battalion fire control vehicle Legion.

Defense contractors from Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, and Serbia will showcase their products during the forum. Companies from Israel, South Africa, and Czechia will take part in the Army 2017 forum for the first time. Over 1,000 Russian companies, leading design bureaus, and research institutions, including 75 foreign-owned companies, will take part in the forum. They are expected to present about 11,000 modern and prospective defense and dual-purpose products.

The third international defense technology forum Army 2017 is scheduled to take place in Kubinka, Moscow Oblast on 22-27 August. It is organized by the Russian Defense Ministry. Over 100 countries will send their delegations to the expo. The Belarusian delegation will be led by Deputy Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus Dmitry Pantus. The Committee’s Chairman Oleg Dvigalev will visit the forum on 22-23 August. He is expected to hold meetings and negotiations with representatives of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, the Defense and Aerospace Industry Ministry of Kazakhstan, and several Russian defense industry companies.
