MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – Belarusian book publishers have donated books to the Children's Belgrade Cultural Center, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.

“During the 63^rd edition of the International Belgrade Book Fair a delegation of Belarusian book publishers visited the Children's Belgrade Cultural Center. Member of the Belarusian Writers' Union Viktor Kazhuro and Serbian writer Dajana Lazarevic held a Belarusian-Serbian presentation of children’s books at the library of the center. Children who attended the presentation were invited to compose poems, read and take part in quizzes. At the end of the presentation, the center was given a collection of children’s books published by Belarusian publishing houses,” the ministry informed.

The Children's Belgrade Cultural Center hosted a roundtable session to discuss publishing of books for children and teenagers. Participants of the meeting presented joint projects and outlined cooperation prospects. Serbian authors were invited to take part in the Minsk International Book Fair and a symposium of authors that will take place in February 2019.

The International Belgrade Book Fair is taking place on 21-28 October. This year Morocco is the Guest of Honor, while the expo’s slogan is “The Joy of Reading”. Belarus’ exposition features books published by Mastatskaya Litaratura, Belarus, Petrus Brovka Belarusian Encyclopaedia, Narodnaya Asveta, Vysheishaya Shkola, Zvyazda Publishing House and Yakub Kolas Printing and Publishing House.
