Belarus to present its tourism potential at two Moscow expos in March

MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – In March 2015 Belarus will present its tourism potential at two international exhibitions in Moscow, BelTA learnt from the National Tourism Agency.

Belarus’ national stand will be displayed at the Intourmarket exhibition (ITM) on 14-17 March. ITM is Russia’s main tourism exhibition held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the Federal Tourism Agency and other federal agencies and organizations. In 2014 partaking in the expo were representatives of more than 148 countries and regions of Russia. The exposition was attended by over 80,000 visitors.

The Belarusian national stand will also be showcased at the Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition MITT 2015 on 18-21 March. It is Russia’s biggest and the world’s third largest tourism exhibition.

Russia accounts for over 60% of tourists that come to Belarus on an annual basis. Russian travelers secure nearly 70% of Belarus’ tourism revenue. The most popular tourism programs in Belarus for Russians are sanatorium recuperation and excursions (Mir, Nesvizh, and Polotsk).
