Belarus shares first place with China in K9 event at International Army Games 2018

MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – Belarusian and Chinese dog handlers have split the first place in the Dog Biathlon event held as part of the International Army Games 2018, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The Dog Biathlon event took place in the Russian city of Dmitrov. The Belarusian team and the Chinese one scored the same number of points. Russia came second, with dog handlers from Egypt arriving third.

The Belarusian team came second after Russia in the first stage of the Safe Environment competition for nuclear, radiological, and biological recon teams in the Russian city of Kostroma.

The Belarusian team came second in the Athlete stage of the professional skills contest for CIS armies Warrior of Commonwealth in the city of Dilijan, Armenia.

The games are scheduled to take place in seven countries on 28 July – 11 August. The International Army Games 2018 feature 28 events and have attracted representatives of 33 countries. The Belarusian army is taking part in 16 events, including for the first time in the Solid Copy event, the Falcon Hunt event, and the Suvorov Attack event.

Teams from 18 countries have come to Belarus to take part in the Sniper Frontier event in the exercise area of the 38th Independent Airborne Brigade near Brest.
