Belarus’ Independence Day fireworks to begin 11 p.m.

MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ Independence Day fireworks will spark up the sky over all main Belarusian cities and Brest Fortress on 3 July at 11 p.m., military commandant of the commandant's office of the Armed Forces of Belarus Anatoly Gritsev told a press conference dedicated to the preparations for the Independence Day celebrations in Belarus, BelTA has learned.

“The fireworks display will start after the national anthem is performed. There can be a 15-20 second delay,” Anatoly Gritsev explained.

In Minsk, the fireworks will be launched from different firing positions. Position No.1 will be located on the bank of the Svisloch River. Position No.2 will be near Novinki. The third position will be set up at the Minsk-1 airport. Position No.4 will be close to Chizhovka cemetery. The fifth firing position will be located near the water reservoir Drozdy, and the sixth one will be in the Uruchye military post.

The fireworks near the Victory Park will be traditionally the most colorful and impressive ones. They will last for ten minutes.
