Belarus Events Calendar: JUNE 2026
Armor exhibition at Nesvizh Palace
Throughout the year, visitors to Nesvizh Palace can immerse themselves in the world of ceremonial and hunting weapons. Outstanding examples of officers' dress weapons (daggers, rapiers, shashkas, sabers), coat swords and departmental swords, Masonic ritual swords, and exotic weapons from various countries… These valuable artifacts have been collected and provided by private collector Anatoly Grishuk.
As the owner noted, his interest in the history of weapons first emerged when he found a 1932-model uhlan saber that had belonged to his father. His grandfather served in the Imperial Army and was on the security detail of Nicholas II when the monarch visited our region for military maneuvers in 1892. The exhibition also explores the culture of hunting, where weapons are not only objects of art but also symbols of power and instruments for demonstrating mastery over nature.
A real draw of the exhibition is an installation of a rider on a horse clad in the shining armor of a Winged Hussar of the Grand Duchy of Litva (Lithuania). Guests will also have the opportunity to try on medieval armor, experience its weight, and take photos alongside a figure of Nicholas Radziwill nicknamed the Orphan.

Forgotten Art of Correspondence exhibition in Grodno
For the first time, visitors to the Grodno Historical and Archaeological Museum will have the opportunity to glimpse into the letters of historical figures from Belarus from the 16th to the 20th centuries. The exhibition features the official correspondence of King Stephen Báthory, the private correspondence of Kossovo Palace owner Wandalin Puslovsky (also spelled as Puslowski) and his daughter Marta Krasinska, historian and local lore expert Alexander Yelsky and Eliza Orzeszkowa, a writer from Grodno. A special section is dedicated to letters from the Great Patriotic War period and correspondence of Belarusian writers Yakub Kolas, Vasil Bykov, Mikhas Vasilek, and Aleksei Karpyuk. The exhibition is complemented by various writing instruments, including inkwells, ink bottles, fountain pens, pen boxes, pencils, a paper tray, and paperweights…

‘Journey Through Time’ tour at Mir Castle
Mir Castle, the tourist gem of Belarus, an outstanding 16th-century defensive structure, can now be explored in small and family groups on the “Journey Through Time” tour. Guests will immerse themselves in the past of the famous Radziwiłł and Sviatopolk-Mirsky residence (now a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site) through dialogues with the builders who preserved its 500-year-old walls, as well as with the kitchen master and cook, who reveal the secrets of preparing sweets for the castle's former owners. Sounds and voices from the past will help guests delve into the world of music through forgotten melodies, learn to distinguish instruments such as duda, lute, viola da gamba, and spinet by their sounds, and master the medieval dance Marazulya.

Art-Minsk 2026 festival
The largest exhibition project, Art-Minsk, is opening a new season, showcasing works by contemporary Belarusian artists. The main goals of this large-scale event are to enhance the city’s cultural landscape and showcase the latest trends shaping the art world today. Year after year, the festival draws growing interest from both artists and audiences. Last season saw a record number of applications – over 1,300! – from which an expert jury selected 550 works by artists from various cities. Visitors can not only purchase exhibits (90% of which are available on the Artcenter.by online platform) but also support artists through voting.

Marc Chagall’s The Walk on display in Minsk
The Walk, one of the world's most recognizable paintings by Marc Chagall from the Russian Museum, was brought to Minsk for the first time. This work, which forms part of a triptych alongside the famous masterpieces Double Portrait and Over the Town, reflects one of the happiest periods in the life of the remarkable artist. Art connoisseurs are in for a romantic and metaphorical stroll together with the young lovers Marc Chagall and Bella Rosenfeld, already married by 1917, through the streets and above their beloved city of Vitebsk. The exhibition offers an immersive VR project: using special glasses, visitors can approach an easel and draw, see how the artist lived and worked, examine objects in the interior, and hear the voices of Marc Chagall and his wife and muse, Bella.

Cinema Mechanics in Minsk
Cinema Mechanic is a joint cultural and educational project by the Zair Azgur Memorial Museum-Studio and Cinemascope, which has already won the hearts of Minsk residents. This time, the organizers invite you to look behind the scenes of the filmmaking process and understand how cinema works from the inside: why a particular angle is chosen, how light changes the perception of a character, and why a director needs a complex 10-minute shot… The lineup for the Cinema Mechanics project in June 2026 features David Lynch's detective thriller Blue Velvet (1986).

Summer Music and Tourism Season 2026 in Minsk
The summer music and tourism season, which traditionally took place in the Upper Town, as well as on the territory of Trinity Suburb and Rakov Suburb, has over the course of more than 10 years become beloved by residents and visitors of the Belarusian capital. In the current season, the project’s program has been expanded and will extend beyond the historical center of Minsk as well. The main cultural venues will be:
- Historical and cultural park complex Loshitsa on Chizhevskikh Street: theatrical evenings on Fridays, performances by professional musicians on Saturdays;
- Area near the Loshitsa Estate Museum: concerts featuring the Nemiga Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theater will take place every Saturday;
- Area near the Minsk City Hall in the Upper Town: music lovers can expect traditional events, including the series Classics at the City Hall, as well as the return after five years of the project Jazz Evenings at the City Hall;
- Upper Town Concert Hall: the Organ in the Upper Town project (every Saturday);
- Muzykalny Lane in the Upper Town: Your Solo karaoke on Saturdays (18:00–21:00);
- Upper Town: children’s activity zones Workshop of Wonders and Reading Symphony, informational and educational programs, and interactive activities;
- Area near the Sports Palace: evening film screenings, music and intellectual quizss, family activities (Friday through Sunday).
On the opening day of the season, 23 May, the Minsk Folk Crafts Festival will take place in the Upper Town. The summer weekend of 27-28 June will host Flax Festival. Rodnaye Modnaye, where designers will showcase their collections and surprise visitors with new looks made from Belarusian flax.

The Secret of Two Chests quest at Mir Castle
One of the most visited landmarks in Belarus, Mir Castle, invites you to learn the history of its owners, the Radziwill princes, and to unravel the secrets of the famous dynasty by passing through a series of trials. According to the legend, during renovation work, Prince Mikhail Svyatopolk-Mirsky discovered an ancient chest that had been stored in one of the basements. From a note found nearby, it follows that this treasure was hidden by Prince Karol Stanisław Radziwiłł during the war with the Swedes. Despite all efforts, Prince Mikhail is unable to open the chest, so he needs helpers… In addition, participants will be able to hone their culinary skills by preparing dinner for the prince, hear the story of the tragic events of the Great Northern War, and learn about the fascinating pastimes of Princess Marie Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst.

Exhibition celebrating Negliubka textiles at the National Art Museum of Belarus
Negliubka textile is a unique tradition of Belarusian folk culture. It took shape in the 17th century and involves the creation of rushnyks (ceremonial towels), garments, and home furnishings using distinctive techniques. It has preserved the archaic features and complex symbolism, and on 9 December 2025 it was inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. The exhibition curators sought to present weaving not only as a craft and a source of household fabrics, but also as a mechanism for preserving memory, artistic language, and the continuity of knowledge. The project features about 50 pieces of artistic weaving by outstanding craftswomen and the traditional costume of the village of Negliubka in Vetka District, Gomel Oblast and a variety of authentic accessories. The exhibition is supplemented by flax processing tools, textile items and rare costume elements, accessories, and photographs.

Best Athletes Cup in Fencing 2026 in Minsk
The Open Championship of the Union State - the Best Athletes Cup in Fencing– has been held since May 2024. This season, more than 200 of the best fencers from Belarus and Russia will compete in 12 medal events (six individual and six team) at Chizhovka Arena. The program will open with foil fencing events on 27 May; the team tournaments will follow on 29 May; the épée fencers on 30 May-1 June and sabre fencing on 2 and 3 June. Last year, Team Belarus won two medals: a bronze medal in the individual sabre tournament (Siarhei Kisel) and a bronze medal in the men's team épée event.

ARS MAGNA ORGANI 2026 festival
The ARS MAGNA ORGANI 2026 festival in Pinsk will be held for the sixth time. The playbill in the new season offers 29 concerts in the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pinsk, featuring renowned performers and young organists and organ students from various parts of the country. The festival will open on 30 May with a grand concert featuring the Minsk Chamber Soloists under the baton of Dmitry Zubov (organ).

Uncle's Dream at the Brest Puppet Theater
The Uncle's Dream play directed by Mogilev-based director Igor Kazakov based on the novella of the same name by Fyodor Dostoevsky, has become the longest production in the Brest Puppet Theater's repertoire of 2 hours and 45 minutes. Conceived as a light provincial comedy, the production in its new interpretation is filled with philosophical reflections and an exploration of complex aspects of human nature, prompting contemporary audiences to reflect on life values. According to set designer Olga Dvorovaya, the main character – “uncle, the elderly prince reveals all human vices against his seemingly harmless, naive exterior”...

Vytoki festival in Svetlogorsk
This season the popular festival Vytoki, which has been running since 2021, will unfold in the “city of chemists and power engineers” – Svetlogorsk in Gomel Oblast. The large-scale festival kicks off with an introduction to its streets and interesting places. Guests can look forward to a sightseeing tour, a tasting of the local cuisine “Yezha z sensam” (Food with Meaning), after which participants will showcase their creativity and, together with Belarusian artists, complete the colorful decoration of a new multi-purpose complex for skating and sports. The festival program includes a variety of events: the stART art interactive, a film screening, a sports and historical quest through the city's landmarks, a theatrical performance, a music ring show, an Olympic quest, and a concert by Belarusian performers... In addition to renowned Belarusian athletes, a delegation from the Russian Athletes’ Commission will also take part in the festival. This delegation includes Olympic winners and medalists who will conduct clinics in figure skating, hockey, martial arts, rowing, athletics, and other sports.

Festival of National Cultures in Grodno
The jubilee 15th edition of the Festival of National Cultures will bring together representatives of 42 nationalities and 800 participants under the motto “The Festival Uniting Nationalities for 30 Years”. The geographic reach of the festival will expand significantly this year: for the first time, it will welcome representatives from the Czech Republic, Türkiye, Russia’s Udmurtia, Yemen, Gabon, and Gagauzia. The traditional procession of representatives of national cultures will take place in the center of Grodno – from Sovetskaya Square to Lenin Square. The festival banner will be carried by women, while the flag of Belarus will be carried by men. The head of the column will be the Hostess and Host of the celebration in national costumes. According to the organizers’ concept, representatives of other nationalities will tie their own ornamental ribbons onto the Hostess’s dress, thus creating a garment featuring patterns from all the national cultures participating in the festival.

Golden Bee Festival
The children's creativity festival Golden Bee in the town of Klimovichi will gather hundreds of participants and spectators from different regions of Belarus and Russia. As part of the forum, which is timed to coincide with International Children’s Day (1 June), young talents will compete for awards in vocal arts (pop, folk), choreography (contemporary, folk-stage, folk-stylized dance), and fine arts (painting and graphics). The celebration will encompass the entire town: guests will take part in street performances, visit colorful folk pavilions, master ancient Belarusian crafts, and, of course, sample dishes of national cuisine.

Premiere of La Bayadère at the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus
The premiere of the La Bayadère production by Igor Kolb, principal choreographer of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus, promises to be one of the biggest events of the 93rd season. The ballet by Ludwig Minkus debuted on the Minsk stage in 1959. The production by Yuri Druzhinin featured People's Artists of Belarus Lydia Ryazhenova and Nina Davydenko. The new version of the legendary ballet, as interpreted by Igor Kolb, aims to return to the original sources and reconstruct the lost final scene of the temple’s destruction. Speaking about his approach to the production, the choreographer noted: “I am not changing the plot; I don’t think I have the right to do so. I approach this performance with awe and reverence. The key moments will remain untouched.” One of the distinctive features is that mime is organically woven into the fabric of the ballet, because in this production with a 149-year history, “it plays the role of a kind of foundation, without which this entire story would be impossible.”

Lipnishki Haymaking Festival
Lipnishki Haymaking Festival is a summer festival and a spectacular competition in manual haymaking. Each participant must demonstrate their skills in crafting a “pokosnitsa” (a protective doll traditionally used to adorn scythes since ancient times) and then mow grass over an area of approximately one hundred square meters. The competition evaluates not only speed but also quality and the height of the cut. The third stage of the contest is “Lunch on the Grass”, which the mowers must prepare themselves. Guests can look forward to workshops on sharpening scythes, weaving wreaths, and making “herbalist” dolls, as well as folk homesteads featuring “Peasant Meal”, children’s attractions, and an exhibition and sale of decorative and applied art pieces. The festival will also crown the girl with the longest hair.

Ballet Summer at the Bolshoi 2026
The Ballet Summer at the Bolshoi festival will take place for the 12th time at the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater and promises to captivate connoisseurs of classical art with striking premieres, new productions, concerts, benefit performances, and, above all, a celebration of the cultures of Belarus, Türkiye, and Vietnam. For the 150th anniversary of Swan Lake, the lead roles will be performed by soloists of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, Berfu Elmas and Batur Büklü. A memorable highlight will be a concert by the Ho Guom Opera Theater of Vietnam, titled “Vietnamese Soul.” The festival will conclude with a benefit performance by the Bolshoi’s principal ballerina, Aleksandra Chizhik, and a gala concert in memory of People’s Artist of Belarus and prima ballerina Lyudmila Brzhozovskaya, who would have turned 80.

“Provody Rusalki” rite in Khoiniki District
The folk rite “Provody Rusalki” (Farewell to the Mermaid), added to the list of Belarus’ historical and cultural heritage in 2016, marks the end of the Semitskaya (Rusalnaya) Week celebrations and takes place on the Sunday after Trinity Sunday according to the Orthodox calendar. Participants dress in festive attire, gather flowers, weave wreaths, and walk with songs from the village center to the field to bid farewell to the rusalka, for which the most beautiful girl is chosen. The rusalka is driven into the wheat, the greenery taken from her is blessed over a fire, round dances are performed, and participants jump over the fire to purify themselves with flames. The ritual involves traditional attributes – one large wreath and many small ones, which are “consecrated” over the fire. The greenery from the large wreath and the rusalka’s “attire” is typically taken away to be placed in vegetable gardens for a bountiful harvest.

National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry in Molodechno
The 25th edition of the National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry in Molodechno will once again become a magnet for talented singers, musicians, and composers. A musical marathon kicks off on 9 June, featuring concerts, national campaigns, book and literary project presentations, exhibitions, art workshops and creative laboratories, cultural and educational projects, and meetings with renowned cultural figures. On 12 June, a concert program will be presented by the honored ensemble of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Ensemble Pesnyary, followed by the festival’s opening gala concert. On 13 June, the winners of the National Contest of Young Performers of Belarusian Pop Song will be awarded at the Summer Amphitheater.

White Square international creativity and marketing festival
The international festival annually draws approximately 1,500 entries from creative and communications agencies, brands, and independent teams from more than 40 countries. The categories span the entire communications industry and are updated each year to reflect rapid digitization, active development of new technologies, and current market demands. The entries are evaluated by a jury composed of creative and art directors, top managers of leading international agencies that top the rankings in their respective countries – individuals with global recognition in advertising and numerous prestigious festival awards. The main evaluation criteria are the creative idea and its execution, while projects submitted in social categories are also assessed for their societal significance and their positive impact on the environment and the world at large.

Motol Regatta
Motol is a popular tourist destination in Brest Oblast, thanks to its signature gastronomic festival Motalskiya Prysmaki (Motol Treats), held every two years, and the water tourism festival Motol Regatta. This year, participants in the two-person kayak competition will cover a distance of 42 km along the Yaselda River. On the first leg, they will travel from the village of Bussa through Chemerin to Porechye; on the second leg, they will go from the bridge near Bussa against the current to the agrotown of Motol in Ivanovo District and back. During the first leg (Day 1), crews will compete in shooting with pneumatic rifles at biathlon targets (each closed target deducts 2 minutes from the total time). The winner of the 2026 summer festival will be the crew that achieves the best total time over the two competition days.

Umiastowski Palace Fest
The ancestral palace of the Umiastowski princely family, over 140 years old, is renowned for its beauty and is a smaller replica of Warsaw’s Łazienki – the palace of King Stanisław August Poniatowski of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. In the late 19th century, the estate’s owners, Władysław Umiastowski and Janina Ostroróg-Sadowska, created their “own Venice” beside the palace on the Gavia River, laying canals framed by trees. A mill stood in the beautiful park, while swans and ducks swam in the canals and ponds. Guests of the fest will learn about the history of the estate and the fate of its owners, take a stroll through the ancient park, enjoy a literary and theatrical performance, listen to concerts by local ensembles, learn traditional dances and crafts, and visit an exhibition and sale of folk art and souvenir products.

Concert to mark composer Alexander Zatsepin’s 100th anniversary in Minsk
Renowned composer and People’s Artist of Russia Aleksandr Zatsepin celebrated his 100th birthday on 10 March. Over his years of creative work, he has composed more than 300 songs, including the widely beloved There Is Only a Moment, Where Does Childhood Go, The Song About Hares, Help Me..., The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, A World Without Your Love… His legacy also includes symphonic music, several suites, a ballet, and musicals. The Belarusian National Academic Folk Orchestra named after I.I. Zhinovich has prepared a concert program titled This World Was Not Invented by Us, dedicated to the 100th birthday of the celebrated composer. The program will feature the finest melodies performed by the orchestra’s soloists Natalia Bratslovskaya, Igor Zadorozhny, Andrei Kolosov, Anastasia Rachitskaya, and a special guest – soloist Olga Kolesnikova of the Youth Variety Theater.

Evenings of Bolshoi Theater at Radziwill Castle
The June Evenings of the Bolshoi Theater at Radziwill Castle will serve as the final chord of the 93rd season of the country’s main stage. Nesvizh Castle, one of the most popular tourist and cultural centers of Belarus, will provide a “living” backdrop for the Bolshoi’s performances, using its theater hall and central courtyard. The company has prepared a total of 13 programs, including concerts, opera and ballet productions, interactive events for children, and, of course, a gala concert featuring the stars of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus.

Vulitsa Ezha city picnic: Summer season 2026 in Minsk
Vulitsa Ezha kicks off the summer season of 2026 with not one but three festivals, and promises to delight visitors with new features. For the first time, the project has launched a program to support gastronomic initiatives, which will bring more new names and bold concepts to the festival. For those who appreciate a variety of flavors, a tasting map will be introduced, allowing guests to sample as many dishes and drinks as possible. Now it's possible to experience the festival and get into the vibe ahead of the official opening, with the launch of a pre-party format. The lineup includes live music and an open-air cinema, a cooking school led by chefs, a market featuring homemade delicacies and handmade designer goods, workshops, a flower market, lectures on Hatha yoga, as well as interactive activities for children.

FIESTA: new show at the Belarusian Circus
True to its name, meaning a folk festival in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America, the colorful summer show Fiesta at the Belarusian Circus will turn the arena into a carnival square with acrobats, aerial gymnasts, camel-riding trick riders, and trained tigers. 22 June - Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War
22 June is a sorrowful date on Belarus’ calendar - the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People. On 22 June 1941, Germany attacked the Soviet Union: 85 years ago, the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union against the Nazi German invaders began. For 1,418 long days and nights, the peoples of a vast country marched toward victory. During the war, over 2.2 million people perished on Belarusian soil, and about 400,000 were deported to forced labor in Germany. The Nazis established more than 260 death camps and sites of mass extermination on the territory of Belarus. According to incomplete data, around 1.5 million people died in the camps alone...
On this day, commemorative ceremonies, flower-laying at memorials and mass graves, and a nationwide minute of silence in memory of the fallen take place across the country. Traditionally at 4:00 in the morning, a theatrical requiem rally recreating the events of that time will be held at the Brest Hero Fortress memorial complex. On this Day of Remembrance, the streets of Brest will feature photo exhibitions, displays of vintage military vehicles, stages with music from the war years, and processions by historical reenactment clubs.

Orchestra Show: World Dances and Film Music at Belarusian State Philharmonic Hall
Orchestra Show is a creative experiment that launched in February 2024 and has been selling out for several seasons in a row. This concert-battle format, featuring different musical ensembles, genres, and visual technologies, breaks conventional ideas about classical music. The June concert will present a program dedicated to world dances and film music, performed by the Belarusian National Academic Folk Orchestra named after I.I. Zhinovich under the baton of Aleksandr Kremko, and the Symphony Orchestra of the National State Television and Radio Company conducted by Aleksandr Vysotsky.

Musical Theater at Mir Castle
The summer project Musical Theater at Mir Castle will present an updated version of an already beloved program in its 11th season: audiences will take a nostalgic journey to the legendary festival in the Italian town of Sanremo, where Toto Cutugno, Adriano Celentano, Riccardo Fogli, Al Bano and Romina Power, Pupo, and Alessandro Safina once shone. Against the backdrop of the medieval castle, foreign pop hits from the 1980s will be performed by leading soloists and the symphony orchestra of the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theater. The concert story Love While You Can will continue the musical program, featuring hits by Yuri Antonov, Vyacheslav Dobrynin, Igor Krutoy, Zhanna Aguzarova, Arkady Ukupnik, Valery Syutkin, and many other pop artists. A special highlight of the program will be the compositions of the legendary Pesnyary in honor of the 85th birthday of Vladimir Mulyavin.

18th International Folk Art Festival Wreath of Friendship
The festival of folk art and folklore of the Belarusian Dnieper region, which has been a hallmark of Bobruisk and Mogilev Oblast since 2003, is aimed at developing and strengthening international cultural ties and promoting folk art and traditions. It takes place under the motto A Festival of Friendship - for Peace and Harmony Without Borders. The 2026 program includes a ceremonial procession of festival participants, concert and competitive performances by soloists and folk groups, theatrical presentations and mass festivities, musical projects, exhibitions, craft fairs, workshops, creative laboratories led by leading arts specialists from Belarus and abroad, and much more.
