Belarus’ Eurovision delegation to set off for Vienna 10 May

MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian delegation to the 60th Eurovision Song Contest will set off for Vienna, Austria, on 10 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian National State TV and Radio Company.

Belarus will take part in the most popular European song competition for the 12th time. Belarus' official representatives at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, the duet Uzari & Maimuna with their song Time, will perform 11th in the first semifinal on 19 May. This year the Belarusian delegation will be headed by Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian National State TV and Radio Company Marat Markov and will comprise 21 people.

Uzari & Maimuna will have their first individual rehearsal on the stage of the Wiener Stadthalle on 12 May. The second rehearsal will be held on 15 May. It will be followed by a press conference. The official opening ceremony of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest will take place at the Wiener Rathaus (Vienna Town Hall) on 17 May.

The Belarusian delegation will bring to Vienna promotional products, such as postcards, notepads, and T-shirts. They have also prepared rugs depicting the duo and trendy digital watches with memory cards containing information about Uzari & Maimuna.

The 60th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Vienna between 18 and 23 May under the motto Building Bridges. Partaking in the competition will be representatives of 40 countries which is a record number.
