Belarus, Ecuador agree on mutual recognition of higher education diplomas

MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Ecuador intend to recognize higher education diplomas of each other. This topic was raised during a meeting between Belarus’ Deputy Education Minister Viktor Yakzhik and head of the Foundation for the Integration and Development of Latin America Rosalia Arteaga Serrano, BelTA learned from the Education Ministry.

The intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Ecuador on mutual recognition of education certificates and diplomas of higher education could be signed in the near future.

Viktor Yakzhik noted that the basic principles of development of the country's education system are accessibility of all levels of education for all, and preserving the best traditions. It is particularly important that in recent years Belarus has tightly integrated into international education system.

In turn, Ms Rosalia Arteaga Serrano noted the fact that young people of Belarus are assigned the first workspace, and it is guaranteed by the state. “This merits respect,” she said.
