Belarus’ Danilochkin in Alpine combined top ten at Winter Universiade 2015

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Yuri Dalinochkin of Belarus finished 10th in the Apline skiing combined at the World Winter Universiade 2015 which second part in underway in Spain’s Granada and Sierra Nevada, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian clocked 1:20.83 to finish 13th in the Giant Slalom and showed the time of 2:07.93 for the 10th position in the Slalom. Sandro Boner of Switzerland won the Alpine skiing combined event.

Yuri Dalinochkin’s teammate Daniil Chertin finished 40th in the Giant Slalom (1:32.65) and was 25th in the Slalom (2:24.23).

The women’s event was won by Russia’s Darya Ovchinnikova. Belarus’ Maria Shkanova was 25th in the Giant Slalom (1:04.55). She took the 13th position in the Slalom, clocking 1:51.52.

Belarusian figure skater Kristina Zakharenko was 24th in the women’s individual event with the total of 91.18 points. Russia’s Alyona Leonova claimed gold earning 182.85 points.

Russia is leading the medal table with 47 (17 gold, 14 silver, 16 bronze) medals after the 14th competition day. Second goes Kazakhstan with 10 (5, 5, 0) medals. Third best is Germany with six (3, 3, 0) medals. Belarus has had no podium finishes yet. The Games are over on 14 February.
