Belarus coronavirus update: 494 patients recover

MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – As of 19 April, 494 patients diagnosed with coronavirus recovered and were discharged from hospital,  BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

Since the start of February, Belarus has carried out 98,231 coronavirus tests. Twenty-five laboratories are involved in testing. They have been set up in national research centers and centers for hygiene, epidemiology, and public health as well as in private medical centers.

According to the Healthcare Ministry, 3,538 people remain in hospital. The rest are treated at home or were discharged from hospital after receiving treatment. The ministry noted that 86 patients are in a serious condition.

Forty-seven coronavirus patients with chronic diseases died.
