MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) - The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus will bring its Swan Lake to Mexico. The first show will take place on 6 February, BelTA learned from the theater.

The tour in Mexico will last until 25 March. During a month and a half the Bolshoi theater will show 35 performances on various stages of the country. For the Belarusian theater this will be the second tour in Mexico. The Belarusian artists are looking forward to meeting the Mexican audience since it received a very warm welcome there during the first tour when it showed Don Quixote.

A little earlier the Belarusian theater staged Swan Lake, Nutcracker or Another Christmas Story in Germany and Austria. The tour in these countries last from 18 December to 22 January. That was already the seventh time the Belarusian artists had toured Germany and Austria. The amazing ballets to the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky were a sold-out even at the biggest venues. During the tour the Belarusian theater gave 29 performances in Berlin, Bremen, Frankfurt, Hanover, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Munich, Vienna, Salzburg and other cities.

On 28 January the Vytaut national ballet was staged in Vilnius. The organizers created an excellent ballet stage in Siemens Arena specially for this show. The audience gave the Belarusian artist a standing ovation. In June 2016 Vytaut was shown on the historic stage of Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.
