About 100 scientists to attend conference on China at Belarusian State University

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – The international conference on modern-day China and development of China-specific new-era socialism will take place at Belarusian State University (BSU) on 29 March. The forum will bring together about 100 researchers. The conference will discuss foreign policy, social, economic and cultural specifics of modern-day China, and the development of China Studies in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of Belarusian State University.

Taking part in the forum will be scientists and experts from Belarus, Russia and China. “Reports will be delivered by researchers from Belarusian State University, the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Moscow State Institute of International Relations and Dalian Polytechnic University. At a plenary session experts will discuss various aspects of theory and practice of building China-specific socialism of the new era, priorities in promoting Belarus-China strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation,” the press service informed.

Panel discussions will deal with China’s economic potential, culture and education and other topics. Apart from that, the School of Young Sinologist will be arranged at the BSU History Faculty during the forum. It is meant for Belarusian and foreign undergraduate and post-graduate students studying the history and culture of China.

The forum is organized by the Confucius Institute of Chinese Studies at Belarusian State University.
