24 Sep 2015

By 24 September, the Belarusian CEC accredited nearly 500 foreign observers to monitor the president election campaign 2015. Over 300 observers represent the Mission of the Commonwealth of independent States (including the CIS IPA). The Belarusian CEC accredited over 80 OSCE/ODIHR observers and almost 70 OSCE PA observers. Nineteen people represent the foreign CECs and 9 are from the PACE. Five more persons that have been accredited are independent observers.

National observers will make the biggest election monitoring group. According to the Central Election Commission of Belarus, more than 18,000 people were accredited as of 21 September. Among them are ordinary citizens, representatives of labor collectives, activists of political parties and public associations.
